«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է․ «Ժողովուրդ օրաթերթին մանրամասներ են հայտնի դարձել Զինված ուժերի գլխավոր շտաբում տեղի ունեցող իրադարձություններից: Բանն այն է, որ իրավիճակը չի սահմանափակվելու միայն շտաբի արդեն նախկին պետ Արտակ Դավթյանի՝ աշխատանքից ազատմամբ: Մեր տեղեկություններով՝ առաջիկայում նոր պետ Օնիկ Գասպարյանը կադրային փոփոխություններ է իրականացնելու համակարգում: Բանն այն է, որ Արտակ Դավթյանը համակարգ է բերել եւ պաշտոնների նշանակել իր մտերիմ մարդկանց, եւ չի բացառվում, որ նրա գնալուց հետո այդ մարդիկ ազատվեն իրենց զբաղեցրած պաշտոններից: Եվ, մասնավորապես, խոսքը երկրորդ բանակային կորպուսի հրամանատար Արայիկ Հարությունյանի մասին է, որը Դավթյանի մտերիմն է, եւ ավելին, համակարգում տարածված լուրերի համաձայն, ամենեւին էլ աչքի չի ընկնում պրոֆեսիոնալիզմով, եւ նրան չեն համարում այն մարդը, որը պետք է այդպիսի լուրջ պաշտոն զբաղեցնի: Սակայն սա միակ հանգամանքը չէ, որի համար Արայիկ Հարությունյանին կարող են հեռացնել համակարգից:
