ՀՀ նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանը հարցազրույց է տվել WION հնդկական լրատվական հեռուստաալիքի Global Leadership Series հաղորդաշարին, որը հյուրընկալում է համաշխարհային առաջնորդներին: Հարցազրույցում Արմեն Սարգսյանն անդրադարձել է ինչպես Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցած թավշյա հեղափոխությանը, այնպես էլ զարգացող տնտեսական հնարավորություններին՝ Հայաստանը բնութագրելով որպես կամուրջ արևելքի և արևմուտքի միջև:

«21-րդ դարում, երբ ամեն ինչ շատ արագ է տեղի ունենում, մարդիկ մեծ սպասումներ ունեն, հասարակությունը մի շարք փոփոխություններ է ակնկալում, որոնք են ավելի ազատ հասարակություն, արդար հասարակություն, որտեղ չպետք է լինի կոռուպցիա, կամ պետք է լինի պայքար՝ ընդդեմ կոռուպցիայի, համապատասխան ինստիտուտները պետք է երկիրը զերծ պահեն կոռուպցիայից: Այնուհետև պետք է զարգանա ժողովրդավարությունը: Դրան պետք է հաջորդի տնտեսական զարգացումը, որպեսզի մարդկանց իրավիճակը բարելավվի», - նշել է Արմեն Սարգսյանը՝ հավելելով, որ այդ փոփոխությունները պետք է արվեն կարճ ժամանակահատվածում, և որ դրան հասնելու ճանապարհը կրկին ժողովուրդն է:

«Մարդիկ պետք է հավատան, որ իրենք ելքը գտնելու մի մասն են, կամ հենց իրենք են ելքը», - շեշտել է նախագահը:

«Ռուսաստանը Հայաստանի բնական դաշնակիցն է, որի հետ համագործակցությունը սկսել է ոչ թե տասը կամ էլ հարյուր տարի առաջ. մենք լավ դաշնակիցներ ենք հարյուրամյակներով: Մեր հարաբերությունները եղել են և կլինեն կայուն նաև ապագայում», - նշել է նախագահը՝ պատասխանելով հարևան պետությունների հետ համագործակցության մասին լրագրողի հարցին:

Պատասխանելով ամերիկյան զենք գնելու առաջարկի մասին հարցին, որն արել էր ԱՄՆ նախագահի անվտանգության հարցերով խորհրդական Ջոն Բոլթոնը Հայաստան կատարած այցի ժամանակ, ինչպես նաև Ռուսաստանի հետ համագործակցության հետ հավասարակշռելու մասին հարցին՝ նախագահն ասել է. «Դա պարզապես առաջարկ էր, կարող են լինել նաև այլ առաջարկներ, և դրանք պետք է նախապես համակարգել: Կարծում եմ՝ Հայաստանը միակ երկիրն է, որը կարող է կամուրջ դառնալ արևելքի և արևմուտքի միջև և հենց կամուրջ էլ հանդիսանում է, քանի որ մենք Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության անդամ ենք և լավ հարաբերություններ ունենք Ռուսաստանի, Բելառուսի, Ղազախստանի և Ղրղզստանի հետ»:

Խոսելով Ռուսաստանի կողմից և՛ Հայաստանին, և՛ Ադրբեջանին զենք վաճառելու մասին՝ նախագահը նշել է, որ ցանկացած հարցից ելք գտնել կարելի է երկխոսության միջոցով: «Դա միայն մեր տարածաշրջանին վերաբերող հարց չէ, ես հավատում եմ, որ միշտ կա լուծում, և այդ լուծումը երկխոսությունն է», - հավելել է նախագահը:

Ինչ վերաբերում է Հնդկաստանի հետ հարաբերություններին, ապա ՀՀ նախագահը նշել է, որ համագործակցությունը խորացնելու տարբերակները շատ են, հատկապես համագործակցություն կարող է լինել տեղեկատվական տեխնոլոգիաների ոլորտում:
