Անդրադառնալով դեկտեմբերի 27-ին Փաշինյանի՝ Մոսկվա կատարելիք այցին՝ մեր զրուցակիցը կարծում է, որ գլոբալ առումով հայ-ռուսական հարաբերություններում փոփոխություններ չեն լինի. «Կարծում եմ, որ մոտակա հանդիպումը շատ կարևոր է լինելու՝ առավել ևս, որ որոշակի մեսիջներ ենք ստանում դրսից՝ կապված գազի գնի հետ: Այդ հանդիպումը, կարծում եմ, վերջակետ կդնի այս հեռակա բանավեճին»:

Ռաֆայել Խոջոյանի կարծիքով՝ գազի գինը Ռուսաստանի հիմնական քաղաքական լծակն է. «Նրանք ոչ թե վախենում են, որ Հայաստանը դուրս կգա իրենց ազդեցության գոտուց, այլ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն է իրենց համար շատ անսովոր մարդ: Իմ կարծիքով՝ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի մեջ դեռ կա լրագրողի հոգեբանություն՝ որ պետք է ամեն դեպքում պատասխանի, մինչդեռ կարելի է թողնել, որ որոշ դեպքերում ԱԳՆ-ն պատասխանի»:

Ինչ վերաբերում է ներքաղաքական խնդիրներին, ապա մեր զրուցակիցը չի կարծում, որ ունենք խորհրդարանական ընդդիմություն. «Ունենք ընդդիմություն-ընդդիմություն, որ իրար դեմ են պայքարում: Կարծում եմ, որ իրական ընդդիմությունը կձևավորվի հենց իշխանության մեջ. այնտեղ կլինի կարծիքների բախում, ինչը նորմալ է»:
