Մինչև ընտրությունների ցուցակները հայտարարելը ԲՀԿ առաջնորդ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը հանդես եկավ հայտարարությամբ, որ իր ղեկավարած կուսակցությունը բավականին տարբերվող ներկայացվածություն է ունենալու ԱԺ արտահերթ ընտրություններին։ Եվ ցուցակները ներկայացնելուց հետո հենց այսպիսի պատկերի էլ ականատես եղանք, քանի որ վեցերորդ գումարման Ազգային ժողովի «Ծառուկյան» խմբակցության պատգամավորներից շատերը արտահերթ ընտրություննրում իրենց մասնակցությունը չեն ունենա։ Այսինքն՝ նրանց անունները ո՛չ կուսակցության ցուցակում է հայտնվել, ո՛չ ռեյտինգային ընտրակարգով են առաջադրվել։ Ահավասիկ նրանցից մեկը Իշխան Զաքարյանն է, ում՝ ԱԺ-ում անպիտան լինելու հանգամանքը դեռևս ամիսներ առաջ էր պարզ։ Քանզի նա պատգամավորների այն տեսակին էր պատկանում, ովքեր միայն որոշ նիստերի էին մասնակցություն ունենում և այն էլ մի քանի անհրաժեշտ կոճակներ սեղմելու նպատակով։
Իշխան Զաքարյանի անգործությունն ու քաղաքական թիմի, նրա որդեգրած սկզբունքների, ինչպես նաև քաղաքական որոշումների հետ առնչություն չունենալու հանգամանքն արդեն խոսում էր այն մասին, որ վերջինս վաղուց հայտնվել էր ոչ միայն «Ծառուկյան» խմբակցության, այլև առհասարակ քաղաքական լուսանցքում, ու նրա՝ վերստին Ազգային ժողովում հայտնվելու շանսերն ուղղակի զրոյական վիճակում են, եթե անգամ նրա ցանկությաւնը շատ մեծ լիներ։ Ու այս ֆոնին, երբ երկրիը պատրաստվում է արտահերթ ընտրություններին, Իշխան Զաքարյանը ստորաբար ստում է, հայտարարելով, թե ընտրություններին չմասնակցելը իր որոշումն է։ Սա բացահայտ սուտ է, որը վերստին մատնում է Զաքարյանի անսկզբունքայնության մասին։
