Հարավային Կարոլինայի շուրջ 300 հազար բնակիչներ են արդեն տարհանվել ափամերձ գոտիներից Ատլանտյան օվկիանոսի կողմից «Ֆլորենս» փոթորկի մոտենալու կապակցությամբ: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտնել Է CNN գործակալությունը՝ վկայակոչելով նահանգի նահանգապետ Հենրի Մաքմասթերին:
Նրա գնահատմամբ՝ մինչեւ փոթորկի վրա հասնելը, հնարավոր Է, որ Հարավային Կարոլինայի ավելի քան մեկ միլիոն բնակիչներ ստիպված լինեն լքել իրենց տները: Ինչպես հաշվել Է CNN-ը, ավելի քան 25 մլն մարդ Է ապրում Վիրջինիայից մինչեւ Ալաբամա ընկած ընդարձակ գոտում, որտեղ, օդերեւութաբանների կանխատեսման համաձայն, մոլեգնելու Է «Ֆլորենս»-ը:

Ջորջիայի, Վիրջինիայի, Հյուսիսային Կարոլինայի, Հարավային Կարոլինայի, Մերիլենդի նահանգների, ինչպես նաեւ Վաշինգտոնի իշխանությունները, որոնց ուղղությամբ շարժվում Է «Ֆլորենս»-ը, արդեն արտակարգ դրության ռեժիմ են սահմանել: Հյուսիսային Կարոլինայում ափամերձ շրջանների բնակիչների տարհանում Է հայտարարված, որը վերաբերում Է ավելի քան 1,5 մլն մարդու: Ինչպես նախազգուշացրել են օդերեւութաբանները, փոթորիկը կարող Է հանգեցնել աղետալի հեղեղումների: Միայն Հյուսիսային Կարոլինայում ավելի քան 1 մետր տեղումներ են սպասվում, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
