Սմբատ Ավագյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.

Այս օրերին ամենաշատ քննարկվող թեմաներից է Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի օգնական Էդուարդ Բաբայանի անհիմ ու ոչ իրավաչափ ձերբակալությունը, ու մինչ դատարանը անհիմն կերպով որոշում է նրան պահել կալանքի տակ, երբ չկա տուժողի կողմից բողոք կամ դատաբժշկական փորձաքննության արդյունք, որոշ լրատւվամիջոցներ որոշել են առիթից օգտվել և Բաբայանի անունը շահարկել՝ նորանոր ստեր վերագրելով նրան:

Օրինակ լարտվամիջոցներից մեկը այսօր գրել է, թե իբր Էդուարդ Բաբայանը ժամանակին ծեծի է ենթարկել նախկին ԲՀԿ անդամ Գրիգոր Գրիոգրյանին: Սա զզվելի սուտ է, քանի որ նման բան չի եղել և չէր էլ կարող լինել, քանի որ Էդուարդ Բաբայանը և Գրիգոր Գրիգորյանը ունեն շատ ջերմ հարաբերություններ:

Հասկանալի է, որ այս լրատվամիջոցները գործունեությունը ուղղորդված է և Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի և Էդուարդ Բաբայանի մասով ապատեղեկատվություն տարածելը հետապնդում են որոշակի խմբերի կոնկրետ նպատակներ ու շահեր, սակայն հանրությունը վաղուց տարբերակում է բարեխիղճ լրատվամիջոցներին ուղղորդված ստեր տարածող լրատվամիջոցներից, ինչպես նաև վաղուց է հասկացել, որ մարդուն պետք է գնահատել իր արած գործով, ոչ թե այս կամ այն թերթոնի կողմից գրվող ու շրջանառվող սուտ լուրերով ու կեղծ տեղեկատվությամբ:
