Վերջին շրջանում մամուլային որոշ լաքեյներ, ովքեր տարիներ շարունակ իշխանական իրենց տերերի ձեռքից կերել են բացառապես վարժեցրած պուդելների համար նախատեսված պեդիգրի, վերջին շրջանի անտերության սինդրոմից ազդված՝ իրենց թերթոններում ամեն օր որոշել են հիշատակել Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի անունը:

Լրատվական լաքեյների կարկառուն դինաստիային է պատկանում, ի դեպ, «Հայոց աշխարհ» զիբիլաթերթի խմբագիր Գագիկ Մկրտչյանը, ով իշխանությունների համար բոլոր ժամանակներում աշխատել է որպես կոշիկի տակացու, որի վրա տարբեր իշխանական սուբյեկտներ պատեհ-անպատեհ սրբել են իրենց իշխանական ոտքերը:
