Ավանադույթը կոչվում է «Օգնություն սեքսում»: Համաձայն այդ ավանդույթի աղջկա մայրը առաջին ամունական գիշերը իր մասնակցությունն է ունենում:

Նախ զոքանչը քնում է փեսայի հետ՝ սովորեցնելով աղջկան, թե ինչպես դա ճիշտ անել, այնուհետև աղջիկը քնում ամուսնու հետ, իսկ մայրը հետևում է ընթացքին, որպեսզի դուստրը չսխալվի:

Համաձայն ավանդույթի՝ «օգնող ձեռքը» աղջկա մայրն է, բայց ավելի հին ժամանակներում դա անում էր գյուղի կանանցից մեկը: Որպեսզի օտար կինը չքնի իր ամունսու հետ, որոշվեց, որ դա պետք է անի հարսի մայրը:
