Քիչ առաջ խոշոր ու ողբերգական ավտովթար է տեղի ունեցել Շիրակի մարզում: Գյումրի քաղաքի Խրիմյան Հայրիկ փողոցում բախվել են Opel Astra մակնիշի 35 QV 710 համարանիշի և ВАЗ 2101 մակնիշի 34 PA 712 համարանիշի ավտոմեքենաները: Ինչպես հայտնում է ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանը, վթարի հետևանքով 17-ամյա Աղասի Շմավոնյանը, 35-ամյա Վրեժ Քալաշյանն ու 34-ամյա Արմինե Քալաշյանը մարմնական վնասվածքներով տեղափոխվել են Գյումրու բժշկական կենտրոն: Դեպքի վայր են ժամանել Արտակարգ իրավիճակների նախարարության փրկարար ծառայության Գյումրու թիվ 48 հրշեջ-փրկարարական ջոկատը՝ 1 մարտական հաշվարկով՝ հերթափոխի պետ Սարգիս Թորոսյանի գլխավորությամբ: Վիրավորներին առաջինը օգնության են հասել քաղաքացիները, իսկ մահացածի՝ 30-ամյա Արտավազդ Աստոյանի դին ավտոմեքենայից դուրս են բերել փրկարարները, որից հետո հոսանքազրկել են ավտոմեքենաները, փակել գազաբալոններն ու սահմանազատել տարածքը և դին մոտեցրել շտապօգնության ավտոմեքենային: Դեպքի վայր են ժամանել ճանապարհային ոստիկանության 2-րդ սպայական գումարտակի 2-րդ վաշտի 2-րդ դասակի ծառայողները՝ վաշտի հրամանատար Գագիկ Վարդանյանի, դասակի հրամանատար Խաչիկ Ասրյանի գլխավորությամբ: Վթարի մասին ՃՈ 1-77 օպերատիվ կառավարման կենտրոնի պատասխանատու հերթապահ Երվանդ Ալեքսանյանը տեղեկությունը փոխանցել է ոստիկանության Կումայրիի բաժին, որտեղից ժամանել է օպերատիվ խումբը: Այս պահին դեպքի վայրում աշխատում են Հայաստանի քննչական կոմիտեի Շիրակի մարզային քննչական վարչության քննիչները: Փաստի առթիվ Շիրակի մարզային քննչական վարչությունում ՀՀ քր. օր.-ի 242 հոդվածի 2-րդ մասի հատկանիշով հարուցվել է քրեական գործ: Ծանուցում.
