Էզոթերիկները ասում են, որ 40 տարեկան մարդիկ չպետք է նշեն իրենց տարեդարձը, այլապես նրանց հետ վատ բան կկատարվի։ Ահա թե ինչն է պատճառը, որ շատ մարդիկ չեն նշում իրենց 40 ամյակը։

Սակայն մարդիկ հիմնականում չեն նշում իրենց ծննդյան օրը 40 տարեկանում, քանի որ լսել են իրենց ծնողներից, որ հարկավոր չէ այն նշնել։ Սակայն նրանցից քչերը կարող են բացատրել, որտեղից է առաջ եկել հենց 40 թիվը։
