Հոգեբանները պարզել են, թե ինչու են մարդկանց մեծամասնությունը կրում ժամացույցը ձախ ձեռքին

Ձեռքի ժամացույցները արդեն վաղուց դարձել են սովորական աքսեսուարներ, որոնք օգնում են մանրակրկիտ պլանավորել և օգտագործել մեր ժամանակը։ Ամեն մարդ՝ ով լուրջ է վերաբերում իր ժամանակին, կրում է ձեռքի ժամացույց։ Սակայն այդպես ոչ միշտ է լինում։

Դեռ այս ամենից 100 տարի առաջ ոչ մի իրեն հարգող ջենտլմեն չէր կրում ժամացույց։ Նույնիսկ այդ ժամանակներում եղել է հայտնի արտահայտություն՝ «Ես ավելի լավ է կիսաշրջազգեստ հագնեմ, քան կրեմ ձեռքի ժամացույց»։ Այդ ժամանակներում մարդիկ կրում էին բացառությամբ գրպանի «քրոնոմետրեր»։

1904 թվականին ոսկերիչ Լուի Կարտյեն իր ընկերոջ՝ Ալբերտո Սանտոսա-Դյումոնի խնդրանքով պատրաստեց ձեռքի ժամացույց թռիչքների համար, որի իր պատվին կոչվեց Santos։ Ժամացույցները անհավանական հայտնիություն ձեռք բերեցին և բերեցին Լուի Կարտյենի գործակալությանը մեծ հաջողություն։

Առաջին Համաշխարհային պատերազմի ժամանակ Santos ժամացույցները մեծ տարածում ունեին սպաների անձնակազմում։ Հարմարավետ աքսեսուարը բարձր գնահատեցին նաև սովորական քաղաքացիները, ովքեր ցանկացած տեղ կրում էին ձեռքի ժամացույցները։

Սակայն ժամացույցը՝ թանկ իր է, որի մասին պետք է հոգ տանել։ Իսկ քանի որ մարդկանց 90%-ը աջլիկ են և մեծամասնությունը օրվա ընթացքում հարկավոր տարբեր գործընթացները կատարում էին աջ ձեռքով, այդ իսկ պատճառով սկսեցին արտադրել հատուկ մոդելներ, որոնք հնարավոր էր կրել ձախ ձեռքին, որպեսզի պահպանեին և չվնասեին աքսեսուարը։

Մեխանիկական ձեռքի ժամացույցները հարկավոր էր կանոնավոր լարել և արտադրողները լարելու հարմարանքը դրեցին աջ կողմից, որպեսզի աջլիկ մարդկանց ավելի հարմար լինի։

Բացի դա, ձեռքի սովորական դիրքում այն պետք է ուղղված լիներ դեպի ներքև։ Եթե մարդիկ ժամացույցը կապեին աջ ձեռքին, ապա այդ հարմարանքը ուղղված կլիներ վերև, որն էլ ժամացույցը կդարձներ խոցելի օրինակ անձրևների ժամանակ։ Եթե այն ուղղված է ներք,և ապա իր հերմետիկ փակված ձևի շնորհիվ ջուրը չէր կարողանա թափանցել ներս։
Այսօր ձեռքի ժամացույցները ավելի շատ արտացոլում են սեփականատիրոջ կարգավիճակը, այլ ոչ թե օգնում նրան ժամը իմանալու համար։ Չէ՞ որ մեր օրերում գրեթե բոլոր էլեկտրոնային սարքավորումները ցույց են տալիս ժամը։

Մեխանիկական ժամացույցը փոխակերպվում է օգտակար նյութից դեպի ժամանակակից մշակույթի տարր։ Հարկավոր չէ նրա մասին անընդհատ հոգ տանել և ժամացույց օգտագործողը կրում է այն ձեռքին, որն իրեն դուր է գալիս։
