Թուրքիայի հարավ-արևելքում գտնվող Դիարբեքիր քաղաքի բանտը, որը կառուցվել է 1980 թվականին: Կառուցման ավարտից մինչ այսօր այդտեղ բանտարկել են ամենավտանգավոր և ծանր հանցանքներ գործած մարդկանց, այդ իսկ պատճառով թե’ իր պայմաններով, թե’ իր ռեժիմով ամենավատերից է աշխարհում: Դիարբեքիրի բանտում կալանավորներին, բացի ֆիզիկական խոշտանգումներից, ենթարկում են նաև մտավոր խոշտանգումների: Բանտարկյալները բաժանված են 2 խմբի: E, որտեղ բանտարկյալների թիվը պետք է հասնի մինչև 744-ի, և D՝ մինչև 688-ի…
Թերևս այժմ երկու բաժիններն էլ գերբնակեցված են…

Ֆլորենցիա նահանգի Կոլորադո բանտը, որը բացվել է 1994 թվականին, ունի 439 բանտարկյալ, կարող է պարծենալ իր անվտանգության ամենաբարձր մակարդակով: Կոլորադոյում շատ բանտարկյալներ են ինքնասպանության անհաջող փորձեր կատարել լիակատար մեկուսացված լինելու պատճառով, բայց բոլորը կանխվել են… Բանտի ոչ պաշտոնական անվանումը անգլերենով՝ The Alcatraz of the Rockies…

Սիրիայի Թադմոր (The Tadmor) քաղաքում գտնվող բանտը՝ Դամասկոսից 200 կմ հեռավորության վրա, ի սկզբանե նախատեսված է եղել պատերազմյան հանցագործների համար: 1980-ական թվականներին այնտեղ բանտարկում էին բոլորին: 1980 թվականին Սիրիայի նախագահ Հաֆեզ ալ-Ասադի հրամանով բոլոր բանտարկյալներին բանտի պատերի տակ սպանեցին՝ մոտ 2400 տոննա մարդու: 2001 թվականին բանտը փակվեց, բայց 10 տարի հետո՝ 2011 թվականին, այն կրկին բացվեց…

Բրազիլիայի Սան Պաուլո քաղաքում գտնվող Քարանդիրու (The Carandiru) բանտը բացվել է 1920 թվականին, սակայն մինչև 1956 թվականը այնտեղ հանցագործներ չէին պահվում, 2002 թվականին բանտը փակվեց… Ավելի վաղ` 1992 թվականին, բանտում մեծ ապստամբության ալիք սկսվեց, որը կարճ ժամանակում ճնշվեց, և զոհվեց 111 բանտարկյալ: Քարանդիրուում տարածում գտավ ՁԻԱՀ-ը, իսկ այնտեղ կար 8 հազար բանտարկյալ: Համաճարակի դեմ պայքարող կազմակերպությունների շնորհիվ բանտը վերջնականապես փակվեց:
