The Unprecedented Educational Summer of the 'Armenian Virtuosos'

The summer of 2026 was an unprecedented one for the “Armenian Virtuosos” program of the Music for Future Foundation. It was filled with educational journeys, international music academies, masterclasses, and concert performances, opening up new countries, new professional environments, and, most importantly, new opportunities for young musicians.

In total, six educational trips were organized throughout the summer, bringing together 32 young musicians. They took part in 66 masterclasses and gave 25 concert performances at prestigious music venues and platforms across Europe and Russia.

Behind each of these numbers lies an entire story — a new experience, a new connection, a new stage, new knowledge, and a young musician who has taken another step forward on their professional journey.

EDUCATION THROUGH INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Throughout the summer educational programs, the young musicians of “Armenian Virtuosos” had the opportunity to work with internationally renowned musicians and educators. At the Järvi Academy, Chieti Classica, the Tibor Varga Music Academy, the Youth Classics Swiss International Music Academy, the University of Udine, and other international platforms, they not only gained new professional knowledge but also had the opportunity to put it into practice on stage.

The masterclasses were complemented by concerts, rehearsals, ensemble work, and first-hand experience of the international music environment. The young musicians performed both as soloists and as members of ensembles and orchestras, working alongside representatives of different musical schools and traditions.

THE STAGE AS AN EXTENSION OF EDUCATION

A young musician’s education does not end in the masterclass room. Every concert performance is another important step toward confidence, stage experience, and discovering one’s own potential.

This summer, our musicians performed on international stages ranging from Pärnu and Sion to Moscow, Sochi, and Udine. Some performed as members of renowned orchestras, while others appeared as soloists or members of chamber ensembles. For some, these platforms became their first significant international experiences.

OPPORTUNITIES THAT SHAPE THE FUTURE

Every educational journey comes to an end, but its impact remains. What stays are the knowledge gained, new professional connections, stage experience, memories, and the confidence that grows when a young musician enters a new environment and realizes, “I can.”

This is at the heart of the work behind the educational initiatives of the “Armenian Virtuosos” program. Talent is a powerful potential, but its development requires education, the right professional environment, experience, and opportunity.

We believe that every young musician should have the opportunity to see the world, learn from the best, test their abilities, and step onto stages they may have only dreamed of reaching.

The summer of 2026 once again demonstrated what can be created when talent meets opportunity. We believe that education, music, and experience can transform the entire path of a young person. And this is precisely where our mission lies: to open those doors, create those opportunities, and support the generation that will become part of the musical world of tomorrow.
