Վենսը հայտնվել է քննադատության ներքո՝ գրառումը ջնջելու համար

ԱՄՆ փոխնախագահ Ջեյ Դի Վենսը հայտնվել է ամերիկյան քաղաքական և հանրային շրջանակների քննադատության թիրախում՝ ջնջելով Ծիծեռնակաբերդի հուշահամալիր այցելելու վերաբերյալ սոցցանցային գրառումը, որտեղ երկու անգամ նշել էր «Հայոց ցեղասպանություն» տերմինը։ ԱՄՆ ներկայացուցիչների պալատի նախկին խոսնակ Նենսի Փելոսին X-ի գրառման մեջ ասել է, որ 2022 թվականին Հայաստան այցի ժամանակ ԱՄՆ պատվիրակությունը «հստակ ու առանց ներողություն խնդրելու» խոսել է Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին։ «Երբ ես 2022 թվականին որպես խոսնակ այցելեցի Հայաստան, մեր պատվիրակությունը կանգնած էր Ծիծեռնակաբերդում և հստակ ու առանց ներողություն խնդրելու խոսեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին, որովհետև ճշմարտությունը կարևոր է։ Խորապես հիասթափեցնող է, թեև զարմանալի չէ տեսնել, թե ինչպես է փոխնախագահը ջնջում այդ ճշմարտությունն ընդունող գրառումը։ Պատմության ջնջումն անարգում է զոհերին և ամենուրեք թուլացնում մարդու իրավունքների նկատմամբ մեր հանձնառությունը», – գրել է Փելոսին։

Ինքը՝ փոխնախագահը «Զվարթնոց» օդանավակայանում հայտարարել էր, թե հարգանքից ելնելով՝ թե՛ զոհերի, թե՛ ՀՀ կառավարության նկատմամբ, ուզում էր այցելել և հարգանքի տուրք մատուցել։ Ընդ որում, նա նշել էր, որ Ադրբեջանում ևս «կարևոր վայրեր» պետք է այցելեն։ «Վաղը մենք Ադրբեջանի մի քանի կարևոր վայրեր ենք այցելելու, և երբ խոսեցինք հայերի հետ, ասացին, որ սա իրենց համար շատ կարևոր վայր է։ Նրանք խնդրեցին այցելել այդ վայրը։ Այն, ինչ տեղի է ունեցել ավելի քան 100 տարի առաջ, շատ սարսափելի մի բան է, և այս վայրը կարևոր է հայերի համար մշակութային առումով»,– ասել էր ԱՄՆ փոխնախագահը։ Նրա խոսքում չէր հնչել Ցեղասպանություն եզրույթը։

Այդ «վաղն» արդեն այսօր է, իսկ Բաքվում այցելած «կարևոր վայրը» Շեհիդների պուրակը, ուր նա այսօր է այցելել կնոջ՝ Ուշա Վենսի հետ։ «Շեհիդների պուրակում» ամփոփված են արցախյան պատերազմում զոհված ադրբեջանցի զինվորականները։ Իհարկե, ԱՄՆ պաշտոնյաների գործն է որևէ երկրում հիշատակի որևէ համալիր այցելելը, բայց Վենսի՝ Երևանում արածը ջուրը գցեց մինչ այդ նրա արած բոլոր հայտարարությունները։
