Mattel-ը թողարկել է աուտիզմ ունեցող Բարբի

Mattel-ը հայտարարել է աուտիզմ ունեցող նոր Բարբիի մասին, որը միանում է իր Fashionistas շարքին, որը ստեղծվել է ներառականությունը նշելու համար։

Հավաքածուն արդեն ներառում է Դաունի համախտանիշով Բարբի, կույր տիկնիկ, Բարբի և Քեն՝ վիտիլիգոյով, և այժմ ավելացվում է մոդել, որը արտացոլում է աուտիզմով տառապող մարդկանց ընկալումը և վարքային բնութագրերը։

Տիկնիկի մշակումը տևել է ավելի քան 18 ամիս և իրականացվել է Autistic Self Advocacy Network-ի հետ համատեղ, որը կազմակերպություն է, որը պաշտպանում է աուտիզմով տառապող մարդկանց իրավունքները և ճշգրիտ ներկայացումը լրատվամիջոցներում։ Նպատակն է՝ ստեղծել Բարբի, որը կցուցադրի այն եղանակները, որոնցով աուտիզմով տառապող մարդիկ ընկալում և փոխազդում են շրջապատող աշխարհի հետ։

Ինչպես նշել են մասնագետները, աուտիզմը դրսևորվում է բազմազան ձևերով, և շատ հատկանիշներ անմիջապես չեն երևում։ Դա պատկերացնելու համար Բարբիի աչքերը մի փոքր շեղված են, ինչը արտացոլում է որոշ աուտիստ մարդկանց կողմից աչքերի ուղիղ շփումից խուսափելու հակումը։

Տիկնիկն ունի նաև հոդակապված արմունկներ և դաստակներ, որոնք թույլ են տալիս նրան ընդօրինակել ձեռքի խթանումը կամ ծափահարությունները, որոնք որոշ աուտիստ երեխաներ օգտագործում են զգայական տեղեկատվությունը մշակելու համար։ Թիմը երկար քննարկել է՝ ընտրել ներքաշող, թե՞ ազատ զգեստ, քանի որ աուտիզմով տարբեր մարդիկ տարբեր նախասիրություններ ունեն: Վերջիվերջո, նրանք ընտրել են A-ձև զգեստ՝ կարճ թևքերով և ազատ կիսաշրջազգեստով՝ մաշկի հետ գործվածքի շփումը նվազագույնի հասցնելու համար: Բարբին կրում է հարթ կոշիկներ՝ կայունության և շարժումների հեշտության համար:

Տիկնիկի աքսեսուարների թվում են վարդագույն ֆիջեթ սփիններ, աղմուկը մարող ականջակալներ և վարդագույն պլանշետ, որը հիշեցնում է այն սարքերը, որոնք խոսքի դժվարություններ ունեցող աուտիստ երեխաները օգտագործում են շփվելու համար:

Հատուկ ուշադրություն է դարձվել Բարբիի արտաքին տեսքին, որը ոգեշնչվել էր Հնդկաստանում Mattel-ի աշխատակիցների կողմից, որպեսզի տիկնիկը ներկայացնի աուտիզմով մարդկանց համայնքի թերներկայացված հատվածը:
