Թագավորական շքեղություն. Ալ Թանի ընտանիքի ոսկերչական գլուխգործոցների հավաքածուն

Քաթարի Ալ Թանի ընտանիքը աշխարհի ամենահարուստ դինաստիաներից է, սակայն նրանց կարողությունը տարբերվում է շատ այլ միլիարդատեր ընտանիքներից. այն խորապես արմատավորված է մշակույթի, արվեստի և այն եզակի իրերի մեջ, որոնք կարելի է գնել փողով: Քաթարի ինքնիշխան հարստության հիմնադրամը՝ Qatar Investment Authority-ն, որը հիմնադրվել է 2005 թվականին, ներկայումս գնահատվում է մոտավորապես 557 միլիարդ դոլար: Այնտեղ է պահվում ընտանիքի ամենամեծ նվաճումներից մեկը՝ Ալ Թանիի հավաքածուն, որը արվեստի գործերի, զարդերի և պատմական արտեֆակտների հավաքածու է, որի արժեքը գերազանցում է փողը։

2009 թվականին 27-ամյա արքայազնը այցելեց Լոնդոնում կայացած «Մահարաջա. Հնդկաստանի թագավորական արքունիքների շքեղությունը» ցուցահանդեսը և զարմացավ հնդկական զարդերի շքեղությամբ։ Ոգեշնչված՝ նա որոշեց ստեղծել մի հավաքածու, որը կփոխանցեր նույն շլացուցիչ շքեղությունը։

Հավաքածուի առանձնահատուկ իրերի շարքում են աշխարհի ամենամեծ կտրված կապույտ ադամանդը, հայտնի «Վագրի աչք» չալմայի զարդը, 61.5 կարատանոց կոնյակի ադամանդը, ինչպես նաև լեգենդար Գոլկոնդա քարերը, ինչպիսիք են «Կուռքի աչքը» (70.21 կարատ) և «Էտուալ դը Գոլկոնդը»։
