ԱՄՆ-ին տարիներ կպահանջվեն միջուկային փորձարկումների պատրաստվելու համար․ WP

ԱՄՆ-ում միջուկային փորձարկումների լիարժեք վերսկսումը կարող է տարիներ տեւել, հաղորդել է The Washington Post (WP)-ն՝ հղում կատարելով Նեւադայի միջուկային փորձարկման զորադաշտի նախկին աշխատակիցներին։

Պարբերականը նշել է, որ փորձագետները «շփոթված եւ անհանգստացած» են ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի՝ միջուկային փորձարկումներն անհապաղ վերսկսելու հայտարարությունից։ Նրանք նշել են, որ ԱՄՆ-ը «կորցրել է ֆիզիկական փորձարկումների փորձը», քանի որ երեք տասնամյակից ավելի չի անցկացրել դրանք։ Ժամանակակից միջուկային փորձարկումներն իրականացվում են համակարգչային ,ոդելավորման միջոցով կամ այսպես կոչված սուբկրիտիկական փորձարկումներ են, ըստ էության՝ ոչ միջուկային պայթյունների փորձարկումներ։

Բացի այդ, Նեւադայի փորձարկման զորադաշտն ինքնին պահանջում է մեծ նորոգում, վերջերս այդ վայր այցելած փորձագետներն այնտեղի փորձարկման սարքավորումները նկարագրել են որպես «ժանգոտ փոս»։ Մեկ այլ խնդիր կարող է լինել բավարար անձնակազմի պակասը, քանի որ փորձարկման զորադաշտի շատ աշխատակիցներ արդեն հեռացել են կամ ազատվել են աշխատանքից, իսկ մնացածներն աշխատավարձ չեն ստանում ԱՄՆ կառավարության շարունակական շաթդաունի պատճառով։ Հոկտեմբերի 29-ին Թրամփը հայտնել է, որ Պենտագոնին հանձնարարել է անհապաղ վերսկսել միջուկային զենքի փորձարկումները։ Նա չի մանրամասնել, թե ինչ փորձարկումների մասին է խոսքը կամ արդյոք դրանք ներառում են միջուկային մարտագլխիկների պայթեցում։

ԱՄՆ վարչակազմն ընդունում է, որ ԱՄՆ-ում ուժի մեջ է մնում լիարժեք միջուկային փորձարկման համար տեխնիկական պատրաստվածությունը պահպանելու նախագահի հրահանգը: Վերջին ստորգետնյա միջուկային պայթյունը տեղի է ունեցել Նեւադայի փորձարկման վայրում 1992թ․ սեպտեմբերի 23-ին: 1951-1992թթ․ ԱՄՆ-ը անցկացրել է միջուկային զենքի ինչպես վերգետնյա, այնպես էլ ստորգետնյա փորձարկումներ: Լաս Վեգասից 104 կիլոմետր հյուսիս-արեւմուտք գտնվող Նեւադայի փորձադաշտում անցկացվել է ավելի քան 900 փորձարկում՝ հիմնականում ստորգետնյա: Վերգետնյա փորձարկումները լուրջ առողջական խնդիրներ են առաջացրել մոտակայքում աշխատող եւ ապրող ամերիկացիների համար:
