Տիբեթի լեռներում Մանհեթենի մեծության արևային կայան են կառուցել

Չինաստանը Տիբեթյան բարձրալեռնային գոտում կառուցել է արևային վահանակների հսկայական համալիր, որի մակերեսը հինգ անգամ գերազանցում է Մանհեթենի չափը։ Այսպիսով, երկիրը ձգտում է դառնալ վերականգնվող էներգիայի համաշխարհային առաջատար մատակարար։ Բարձրալեռնային այս տարածքում՝ շուրջ 3000 մետր բարձրության վրա, ձևավորվում է էկոլոգիապես մաքուր էներգիայի հսկայական ցանց։ Բարձրությունը հնարավորություն է տալիս առավել արդյունավետ օգտագործել ուժեղ արևային ճառագայթներն ու ցածր ջերմաստիճանը՝ էլեկտրաէներգիա արտադրելու համար։ Բարձր լարման գծերով ստացված հոսանքը տեղափոխվում է ավելի քան 1600 կիլոմետր հեռավորության վրա գտնվող գործարաններ և բնակարաններ։ Նույն տարածքում գտնվում է նաև «Թալան» արևային պարկը՝ 420 քառակուսի կիլոմետր մակերեսով և 16 930 մեգավատտ հզորությամբ էլեկտրակայանների համալիր։ Նախագիծը շարունակում է ընդլայնվել, և առաջիկա երեք տարում նախատեսվում է, որ դրա տարածքը կլինի արդեն տասը անգամ մեծ՝ Մանհեթենի համեմատությամբ։
